Hexon Media Pte Ltd announces Genuine Class-6 NCP® SDHC 4GB Flash Card
Singapore, July 19, 2007 – Hexon Media Pte Ltd, Singapore's leading manufacturer of the NCP ® range of memory solutions, today announced their latest Class-6 NCP ® SDHC Flash card.
SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity. It is a new standard developed by the SD Card Association, to support capacities beyond the 2GB limit of the original “standard” SD cards. With this, electronic devices are now able to use SD cards beyond the 2GB capacity which is other wise not possible without the new standard.
The new SDHC card enhances the performance of the latest multimedia devices like digital cameras, digital camcorders, music players and others by supporting REAL high speed data transfer and high processing speed of beyond 2MB/sec.
“With the growing demand for high-definition video and high-resolution image recording capabilities, the NCP SDHC cards allows for bigger capacity and minimum sustained data transfer speed rating of 6MB/sec.” Said Mr Steven Tan, Senior Sales Manager of Hexon.
The NCP SDHC card adheres strictly to the SD Association (SDA) v2.00 specifications. The new specifications support capacity from 2GB to 32GB and it is classified into three Class speed rating – Class 2, 4 and 6, with minimum sustained data transfer speed rating of 2MB/sec, 4MB/sec and 6MB/sec respectively.
More importantly, NCP SDHC uses genuine SLC (Single Level Cell) flash. Only SLC with new SDHC specification can last for more than 100,000 read/ write cycles. This is 10 times more durable than SDHC cards using MLC (multi-level cell) flash.
The NCP SDHC flash card is available now in class 6 speed rating at 4GB; the 8GB version will be available by end of September 2007.
