NCP® Introduces 4GB micro SDHC
Singapore, February 18, 2008 – Hexon Media Pte Ltd, Singapore’s leading manufacturer of flash memory and media accessories, today introduced the world’s smallest removable flash memory card, 4GB micro SD High Capacity (SDHC) card.
SDHC is the new format for any SD or SD based card that is larger than 2GB capacity and adheres to the new SD 2.00 specification that is required for cards and hosts to support 4GB to 32GB capacities. The specification was developed by the SD Association, an international standards board, which also defined three speed classes for speed and performance capabilities. NCP’s microSDHC cards use the new speed class rating of class 6 that guarantee a minimum data transfer rate of 6MB/sec for optimum performance with devices that use microSDHC.
A 4GB microSDHC card can store more than 1,000 digital songs or more than 1,200 high-resolution pictures or up to 19 hours of MPEG 4 video.
Each NCP package comes with a full size SD adapter to fit into devices with SD card slot.
NCP 4GB microSDHC cards will be available by end February 2008.
